RushCut can now surface a possible camera clip-number reset when the surrounding sequence progresses normally. A subtle cue beside the first clip opens a review of the clips before and after the reset.
If the first clip after the reset is a hand marker, choose Tag previous clip to link it to the earlier shot. Confirmed links also work with stacked markers and future hand-marker detection runs.

Numbering-reset reviews can be dismissed or undone, and your decisions are saved with the session.
Reset detection uses embedded recording times or the sequence of original numbered camera folders. It leaves ambiguous sequences for manual review and never applies a tag without your confirmation.
Offline or moved files keep their saved ratings, tags, and hand-marker flags. Reconnect the drive or use Locate Files to recover them.
Hand markers from different folders or across gaps in camera numbering no longer stack together or tag an unrelated clip.
Starting a new session cancels pending imports, and overlapping file or folder imports no longer create duplicates.
Undo and redo save automatically, preserve tag order and available filters, and cannot bring back old source paths after export.
Bulk ratings and tags now apply consistently across mixed selections. Applying detection and removing marker clips undo together.
Export checks for changed files before moving them, rolls back failed verification when possible, and keeps the actual file location if recovery needs attention.

The grid shows how many selected clips are hidden by filters, with a Clear Selection action.
Manage Tags in the session menu lets you rename or merge tags, validates new names, and applies your default tag list to the current session without removing assigned tags.
New sessions use your current tag defaults. Hand-marker scans can be cancelled.
After updating
Rerun Detect Hand Markers to correct existing marker tags. Automatic assignments require consecutive numbered originals in the same folder; clips with missing sequence numbers or other naming schemes can still be tagged manually.
Removing the last clip with a selected tag or hand-marker flag now clears that filter, so the grid no longer becomes blank with no visible way to recover.
Empty filtered views now include Show All Clips. Changing filters also returns the grid to the top.
Hand markers now follow the original clip filename order, preventing separate markers from incorrectly producing stacked tags such as bangerx2 or tagging the wrong clip.
Rerunning detection removes unused stacked-marker tags from the tag picker while preserving your other tags.

The session menu now includes Clear All Tags and Reset Review. Reset Review clears ratings, tags, and hand-marker flags while keeping imported clips and filenames. Both actions can be undone.
After updating
Rerun Detect Hand Markers to correct tags in an existing session. If you removed the hand-marker clips from the session, add them back before scanning.
Choose exactly which clips to organize. Move your shortlist, selected clips, the current filtered view, or the whole session. The preview and move count follow your choice.
See the size of your shortlist. Clip count, total running time, and file size are now shown in the sidebar and export preview, so you can see how much footage you are taking into the edit.
Choose your folder structure. Give the output folder a name, or place rating and tag folders directly in the destination you choose.
Update from inside RushCut. Use Check for Updates in the RushCut menu to find and install future releases.

JSON manifests are optional and off by default. Enable Generate JSON manifest when you want a file containing clip ratings, tags, and file locations for use in other tools.
Organize footage in batches. Clips you do not export stay in your session with their ratings and tags, ready for another pass.
Clearer export controls. Organize Clips opens the export options, and Move Clips makes the final action explicit. Shortlisted clips remains the default.
